Carmen and Lauren connected through their mutual love of food, drinks, and wellness, which led them to delve deeply into microbiome health and research. Their love of sparkling water and prebiotic knowledge gave them sightlines into a gap in the sparkling water space.
And so, the concept for Geez Louise was born.
Geez Louise is a women-owned business.
What We Are About
Geez Louise advocates for clean drinking water.
The human right to safe drinking water is part of international law. Canada has a fifth of the world’s freshwater, yet many Indigenous people still lack access to clean drinking water.
We donate 3 cents per can to Indigenous-led organizations supporting clean water initiatives.
Where We Reside
Geez Louise is located on the indigenous land of the Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), Anishinabewaki, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and the Wendake-Nionwentsïo.
While this is a land acknowledgment, it’s also important to note that acknowledgment without action is empty. Geez Louise stands behind the belief that Indigenous peoples should be the stewards of this land in whatever capacity they choose to be. We wholeheartedly believe in the Land Back movement and offer regular donations to Indigenous-led organizations that work towards these goals in whatever capacity or way they see fit.
